• Corporate and Transactions Team - Legal Analyst
• Protective Life Corporation has an opening in its Birmingham, Alabama corporate office for a legal analyst to join the Legal Department and work with the Corporate and Transactions Team in connection with regulatory and corporate governance matters.

• Key Responsibilities
• •Research requirements and prepare legal and regulatory filings
• •Communicate with state insurance regulators and internal stakeholders
• •Support corporate governance activities for Boards of Directors and committees, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, coordinating with presenters, preparing meeting materials, drafting resolutions, and drafting meeting minutes
• •Maintain organized records

• •Excellent written and oral communication skills
• •Careful attention to detail
• •Highly organized with proven time-management skills
• •Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
• •Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Preferred Qualifications
• •Experience working in a highly regulated industry, particularly the life insurance industry
• •Experience supporting corporate governance processes and board operations
• •Paralegal certification
• •Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

• Minimum Requirements
• •Minimum of three years of corporate paralegal experience
• •Associate’s degree and high school diploma or equivalent
