Conveniently located off I-94 and U.S. 131 in Kalamazoo , Pet Vet Family Pet Care Center is looking for a friendly, energetic, and organized Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our close-knit, community-focused team.

🩺 What You’ll Do
As a key member of our team, you’ll play an essential role in supporting our veterinarians and delivering top-tier care. Your responsibilities will include:
Perform patient triage and obtain accurate medical histories
Assist veterinarians during examinations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures
Induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia
Perform dental cleanings, radiographs, and oral charting
Collect and process laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal, cytology)
Place IV catheters and administer medications, fluids, and treatments as prescribed
Take and develop diagnostic radiographs
Monitor hospitalized patients and provide nursing care
Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, nutrition, and preventative care
Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
Ensure proper sterilization of surgical instruments and maintain a clean clinical environment
Assist with inventory management and stocking of medical supplies
Follow all state regulations, hospital protocols, and safety standards

🐶 Who We're Looking For
Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician program (Associate Degree)
Successful completion of the VTNE and current Michigan LVT license
Genuine passion for patient care and client education
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Professional demeanor with a team-first attitude
Prior experience in the veterinary field
