Job Description

Drive growth for the Logistics Consulting practice in India by building senior client relationships, shaping high-value opportunities, leading transformation programs, and expanding market presence across logistics service providers and logistics-intensive industries. The role combines industry leadership, consulting delivery, business development, practice building, thought leadership, and technology-enabled transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• •Lead strategic consulting engagements for logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, parcel, contract logistics, warehousing, distribution, and supply chain organizations.
• •Own end-to-end business development cycles, including opportunity identification, deal shaping, proposal development, executive presentations, negotiation, and closure with C-suite stakeholders.
• •Build and expand strategic client relationships across logistics service providers, 3PL and 4PL organizations, freight forwarders, air cargo operators, ocean carriers, rail operators, parcel companies, and logistics-intensive industries.
• •Shape and lead large-scale programs covering logistics operating-model redesign, network optimization, cost and productivity improvement, customer experience, commercial transformation, shared services, M&A integration, sustainability, and green logistics.
• •Advise clients on logistics technologies including TMS, WMS, yard management systems, control towers, digital freight and visibility platforms, SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder, Manhattan Associates, Kinaxis, Microsoft Cloud, Salesforce, and ServiceNow.
• •Lead AI- and Agentic AI-enabled logistics transformation, including autonomous planning, AI-enabled control towers, dynamic routing, capacity and carrier management, inventory visibility, customer service, claims management, predictive analytics, digital twins, IoT, robotics, and automation.

• •Act as executive sponsor for strategic engagements, ensuring strong governance, risk management, stakeholder alignment, measurable outcomes, and business value realization.
• •Develop consulting talent, industry offerings, intellectual property, alliances, research, white papers, and executive thought leadership to strengthen the practice and market position.

Primary Skills

• •Bachelor's degree required; MBA or an advanced degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Operations, or Business is strongly preferred.
• •15+ years of professional experience, including at least 8 years in logistics and transportation and at least 5 years in consulting or advisory roles.
• •Strong experience in business development, client relationship management, solution selling, account growth, revenue ownership, and strategic partnerships, with proven engagement in the Indian market and exposure to international clients.
• •Deep industry knowledge across air freight, ocean shipping, rail, surface transportation, contract logistics, warehousing and fulfilment, last-mile logistics, cross-border trade, intermodal transportation, and logistics network optimization.

• •Relevant experience with leading logistics organizations such as DHL, FedEx, UPS, Maersk, MSC, PIL, Nippon Express, DSV, DB Schenker, Kuehne+Nagel, CEVA, Expeditors, C.H. Robinson, GXO, XPO, Ryder, or comparable organizations.
• •Experience across Consumer Products, Retail, Manufacturing, Automotive, Life Sciences, or Industrial Products, with exposure to logistics, transportation, distribution, or supply chain operations.
• •Strong understanding of AI, GenAI, Agentic systems, advanced analytics, automation, cloud technologies, digital platforms, and supply chain visibility solutions relevant to the logistics industry.
• •Demonstrated executive presence, strategic thinking, board-level communication, stakeholder management, change leadership, global leadership, and ability to build and mentor high-performing teams.
