Maintenance Mechanic

Summary

The purpose of this position is to perform the full range of journeyman level structural, electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical maintenance work for a Plant Inspection Station.

Duties

• •The duties may include, but are not limited to:
• •Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical circuits, fixtures, and equipment from low voltage up through 3 phase 208 volts, 400 amp circuits from blueprints, sketches, or oral instructions.
• •The position requires the knowledge and physical strength to install electrical panels, replace burned out motors and compressors, and the ability to work off tall ladders as required.
• •Performs work on scaffolds and rooftops, which require awkward positions. Ability to work at heights of up to 20 feet and lift loads of 50 lbs. is required.
• •Prepares scope of work statement for variety of maintenance project and prepare the cost estimates utilizing appropriate software.
• •Constructs, alters, repairs, and maintains wooden and wood substitute items and structures such as framework, rafters, load bearing columns and trusses.
• •Services cooling and refrigeration equipment including recharging systems with proper charges of refrigerant by use of gauges, vacuum pumps, and other tools associated with the trade
• •Performs routine maintenance for Plant Inspection Station and its associated equipment to include carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
