Summary

This position is located at: NAF Supply/Warehouse - Fort Irwin, CA. This is an open continuous announcement. All qualified applicants will be forwarded to management on a weekly or as needed basis.

Duties

• •Duties are performed independently in accordance with accepted trade practices and guides. Employee uses judgment to perform duties and resolve most problems that occur.
• •Serves as Maintenance Mechanic providing maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities.
• •Makes visual inspections of fixtures and appurtenances as well as building shell, components, and surrounding areas to determine condition and nature and extent of repairs required.
• •Estimates material and equipment required. Utilizes skills and knowledge of a variety of trades primarily of journeyman, carpentry and plumbing skills and other trades of intermediate skill level, such as mechanical, electrical, and painting.
• •Operates various types and sizes of motor vehicle and industrial equipment associated with maintenance work requirements.

Skill and Knowledge: Expected to be skilled in the techniques used in a variety of trades. (i.e. journeyman level carpentry and plumbing skills, and at intermediate level skill in other trades work. Operate a variety of motorized vehicles.
