The Maintenance Planner plays a critical role in enabling efficient and effective execution of maintenance work. This position works directly with the business to review SAP notifications, develop detailed work plans, and drive the scheduling and completion of maintenance activities within SAP.

The Planner partners closely with field operations, project managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure work is properly scoped, prioritized, and executed. This role also interfaces with Finance, Accounts Payable, Supply Chain, and external vendors to support end-to-end work management and financial accuracy.

This is a dynamic and rewarding role that requires strong analytical capability, effective communication, technical proficiency, and a proactive problem-solving mindset. Experience with SAP and familiarity with oil and gas operations is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Work Planning & Execution

Review, validate, and prioritize SAP notifications and work requests

Develop detailed job plans, including labor, materials, and sequencing of activities

Coordinate and support scheduling and execution of planned work

Stakeholder Coordination

Partner with field operations, engineers, and project teams to align on priorities and execution plans

Interface with Finance, Accounts Payable, Supply Chain, and vendors to ensure smooth workflow and issue resolution

Data Quality & Validation

Review and validate field-submitted data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper SAP entry

Drive consistency in data standards and work management practices

Meeting Leadership

Lead and facilitate planning and scheduling meetings with field operations teams

Communicate priorities, risks, and constraints to stakeholders

Performance Monitoring

Utilize KPIs and reporting tools to track performance, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement

Communicate insights and performance trends to relevant stakeholders

Core Competencies

Proficiency in SAP and related systems

Understanding of maintenance and oil & gas operations

Education & Experience (Preferred not Required)

Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Finance, Accounting, Math, or related discipline)

Experience with SAP or similar enterprise systems

Knowledge of maintenance planning and oil & gas operations
