Maintenance Technician

Amazon is seeking Maintenance Technician to join our Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team at our site in Lytton, Brisbane.

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll keep our site operating safely and efficiently by maintaining and repairing material handling equipment, automated packaging, and distribution machinery. You’ll respond to breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, and implement long-term improvements to reduce downtime.

This role is be a NIGHT SHIFT role. working on a 4-day roster (10-hour shifts) including one weekend day.

These roles are entitled to annual leave and penalty rates where applicable.

• Key job responsibilities
• - Complete proactive and preventative maintenance on site equipment
• - Diagnose and repair equipment faults in a live warehouse environment
• - Implement long-term solutions to reduce future downtime
• - Use specialised tools to maximise equipment effectiveness
• - Follow and promote Health & Safety standards

Basic qualifications

- Formal Trade Qualifications: Certificate lll in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license or Cert lll in Engineering OR Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, equivalent trade qualifications formally recognised in Australia.

Preferred qualifications

• - Experience working with CMMS software
• - Experience in material handling equipment (MHE) or automation environments
• - Experience in an operational role, or experience in performing accurate and complete chart reviews for profee coding
• - 4+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience, or experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems and high-speed manufacturing
