Job Description:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of our airport's baggage handling infrastructure. Your expertise and attention to detail will directly contribute to providing a seamless travel experience for countless passengers daily.

Key Responsibilities

• •Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on the Baggage Handling System (BHS) equipment.
• •Diagnose and troubleshoot issues within the BHS system swiftly and effectively.
• •Respond promptly to emergency situations and breakdowns, minimizing downtime.
• •Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections.
• •Strictly adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
• •Comply with customer site rules and regulations, fostering a positive client relationship.

• •Comply with airport regulations and safety standards while carrying out maintenance tasks.
• •Execute maintenance work efficiently and uphold high-quality standards.
• •Assist in equipment modification, replacement, and the installation of new assets.
• •Stay updated with the latest BHS technologies and actively participate in relevant training sessions.

Qualifications

• •High school diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
• •Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
• •Proven expertise in maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting of industrial equipment, preferably in baggage handling systems or a related field.
• •Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• •Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and blueprints.
• •Exceptional problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• •Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• •Knowledge of troubleshooting electrical control panels, drives, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) is highly advantageous.
• •Experience in working with Material Handling Systems is an advantage

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Full-time position; 24/7 operation; 3 shifts; overtime, weekend, and holiday work. Shifts can be 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or mid-shift. Flexibility is required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• •Technicians work in secured baggage handling areas, repair stations, or on airfields.
• •They often must meet strict deadlines to maintain flight schedules.
• •Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching from ladders and scaffolds.
• •Regularly required to talk and hear, frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
• •The position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
• •Must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
• •Will be lifting parts and tools for extended periods and handling equipment such as conveyor systems.
• •Technicians identify and fix mechanical problems with machinery, commonly working with greasy parts and tools, sometimes in uncomfortable positions.
• •Exposed to the baggage handling system, mechanical parts, and vibration.
• •Working on passenger boarding bridges may require being outside in inclement weather.
