Management Analyst - Residential Reentry Management Branch

Duties

This position is located in the Residential Reentry Management Branch (RRMB), Reentry Services Division (RSD), Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) under the direct supervision of the Assistant Administrator/Operations, RRMB. Responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions for the RRMB are recorded in an accurate and timely manner in the financial management system to produce the financial reports necessary for monitoring the financial status of the branch. Develops BOP accounting policies and internal controls to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), the General Services Administration (GSA), and the Department of Treasury. Involved in developing, analyzing, evaluating, advising on or improving the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, organizations, manpower utilization, distribution of work assignments, management controls, information and documentation systems, and/or similar functions of management.

Qualifications

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements. Education: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position. Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled. Some examples of this qualifying experience are: Experience in providing analysis of unique conditions involving all operations in procurement. Experience in developing, analyzing, evaluating, advising on or improving the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, organizations, management controls and similar functions of management that involve difficult and complex issues. Experience in designing and maintaining data bases for statistical reports of request for purchase, purchase orders, and the purchase card program. If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience.
