We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Manager for the Commercial Transformation team, to help drive and lead high-impact commercial initiatives across 16 countries for our global brands (foodora, foodpanda, and Yemeksepeti).
Operating as a hands-on internal consultant and lean PMO leader, this role bridges high-level commercial direction with immediate execution. This is an execution-first role. We are looking for an operational builder. You must be comfortable taking decisive action with 70% of the data, building immediate momentum on the ground, and iterating in real-time.
This role reports directly to the Director of Commercial Transformation, and works in close partnership with Market Managing Directors, Commercial Directors, and central function leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead high-impact commercial transformation initiatives, rapid-response interventions, and cross-functional pilots end-to-end across 16 markets, seamlessly scaling projects from initial setup to full regional rollout.
Partner cross-functionally with Market Managing Directors, Commercial Directors, and central teams to resolve cross-functional operational bottlenecks in our restaurant business.
Develop and manage lean project plans, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring rapid execution without bureaucratic overhead.
Proactively adopt a bottom-up approach to identify, escalate, and resolve commercial risks, operational friction, and performance issues on the ground.
Develop and execute communication plans to keep senior executives and cross-country stakeholders aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide clear, concise executive readouts and regular status updates to senior leadership, ensuring transparency on mission progress and commercial impact.
Act as the project owner on cross-functional commercial innovation pilots, taking them from proof-of-concept to regional rollout.
Must Haves
- Commercial Project Leadership: 5-7 years of experience in commercial operations, scale-up management, or internal transformation roles. Proven ability to plan, execute, and oversee complex, multi-market projects from inception to completion. (In-house operational ownership may not be a full fit for this role).
- Results-Driven Approach: Takes initiative and acts decisively to move projects forward with 70% of the data. Prioritizes practical improvements, speed-to-market, and resolving issues promptly over exhaustive data gathering.
Stakeholder Management: Skilled in identifying, managing, and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels (including C-suite). Communicates effectively to ensure alignment and maintain buy-in across diverse matrixed teams.
Clear Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex regional performance into clear executive readouts, slides, and actionable plans.
Time Management & Adaptability: Exceptional ability to manage multiple high-priority missions simultaneously across 17 countries. Adapts quickly to changing demands and ambiguity in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of platform business models, restaurant delivery ecosystems, P&L levers, and commercial KPIs.
Nice to Haves
Proficiency with project management software such as Jira, Trello, or Asana to plan, track, and report on project progress.
Understanding of change management principles and methodologies, with the ability to lead and support teams through transition.
