The NFL Media Distribution department oversees the strategy, deal execution, and licensing of NFL content across all media platforms. Its core mandate is to grow the business of the National Football League by distributing content in a manner that reaches and engages both new and existing fans, increases revenue for the business, and creates long-term strategic value for the 32 Member Clubs. The group’s work includes market and competitive analysis, new business development, business and rights valuation, deal negotiation, go-to-market process management, and ongoing execution and management of media partnerships.
This person will focus on deepening relationships with current partners, identifying and developing new business opportunities, as well as the formation of strategic partnerships and alliances. This role requires a strong self-starter who can combine a solid understanding and interest of the media space with a comprehensive foundation in business analysis. This role works closely with many departments across the NFL’s New York, New Jersey and Los Angeles offices including Broadcasting, Sponsorship, DTC Strategy, Affiliate, Media Sales, Legal, Finance, Marketing and NFL Digital Media Product & Engineering Teams.
Responsibilities include leading regular communication with external and internal business partners (day-to-day project and product management), producing financial models and presentations for executives and external partners, working closely with Legal to develop new legal contracts, and thoughtfully managing internal stakeholders and processes (seeking internal feedback, escalating issues, proposing recommendations, etc.).

Take a meaningful role in all aspects of NFL media partnerships, from working on large-scale active partnerships to proactively identifying potential new business partners
Assess and analyze critical media and sports trends
Oversee day-to-day activity with current partners to ensure contractual obligations are met and all parties and relationships are mutually successful
Conduct financial analyses and proposals for new business opportunities
Collaborate with senior executives and relevant internal stakeholders to develop new contracts and deals
Communicate market and deal updates to senior executives and team ownership
Create and participate in strategic presentations to senior executives inside and outside the organization
Track consumption trends across media partnerships
Advance league-wide initiatives in collaboration with teams across the organization
Contribute to positive group culture to foster high performance, efficient processes and professional development
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 5+ years of experience, ideally in media, consulting or financial services
Other Key Attributes / Characteristics
Strong attention to detail, especially when multi-tasking across various projects in a fast-paced environment; expected to execute tasks with minimal error and with high level of efficiency
Deep interest and enthusiasm in media, technology and sports industries with ability to apply market trends to inform strategic decisions
Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate details to senior management
Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct financial and business/market analyses and distill key insights for stakeholders
Effective partner facing communication and presence with large and small partners
A team player who is able to establish credibility quickly in order to effectively interface at all levels in a complex organization
Strong, confident personal style that can persuade and motivate others to accomplish corporate goals while holding team members accountable to a high standard of performance
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to efficiently produce written materials and analysis in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Terms / Expected Hours of Work
NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week.

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

$90,000 — $125,000 USD
