Role Definition

Schedules, plans and oversees material procurement, production and delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• •Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of production activities to meet customer delivery requirements, productivity targets, and cost objectives.
• •Develop and manage material planning activities to ensure materials are available to support production schedules and customer demand.
• •Coordinate the flow of materials throughout the manufacturing operation, including movement between production, inventory, and warehouse locations.
• •Monitor inventory levels, material availability, and production capacity to support efficient operations.
• •Work closely with cross-functional teams including Production, Supply Chain, Materials, Quality, and Operations to resolve issues and drive performance improvements.
• •Analyze production and material planning data to identify bottlenecks, balance resources, and improve operational efficiency.
• •Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, inventory management, and cost reduction.
• •Ensure manufacturing and distribution plans align with business objectives, customer requirements, and operational capabilities.
• •Drive problem-solving efforts to address production, material, and supply chain challenges.

Minimum Qualifications

• •Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• •Experience in manufacturing, production planning, materials management, supply chain, or operations leadership.
• •Experience using ERP/MRP systems to manage production schedules, inventory, and materials planning.
• •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• •Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across multiple functions.

Preferred Skills

Production & Materials Planning

• •Working knowledge of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems and processes.
• •Experience developing production schedules and coordinating material availability to support manufacturing operations.
• •Understanding of inventory management, capacity planning, and demand planning principles.

Distribution & Supply Chain

• •Experience with Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) and inventory replenishment processes.
• •Ability to evaluate the impact of supply chain disruptions, delays, and bottlenecks on operational performance.

Leadership & Collaboration

• •Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate efforts across multiple departments.
• •Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive collaboration.
• •Experience leading problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.

Analytical & Decision-Making Skills

• •Ability to analyze complex operational issues, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• •Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• •Ability to interpret operational data and use insights to improve business results.

Salary Range:

77,264.00 - 96,580.00

Summary Pay Range:

$77,264.00 - $115,896.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
