Manufacturing Team Member – Production Assembly-2

Job Description Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused Manufacturing Team Member – Production Assembly to join our manufacturing team in Stafford. This role is responsible for the assembly, inspection, testing, and repair of electro-mechanical products in line with production plans and customer requirements.

Working within a fast-paced, high-technology manufacturing environment, you will ensure products are built and tested to the highest quality standards while supporting Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives. Full training will be provided to support your development in the role.

Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

• •Carrying out inspection and testing of electronic sub-assemblies in accordance with approved test procedures and company standards
• •Recording pass and fail results accurately on company databases and production systems
• •Operating Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), including any required manual interventions in accordance with test specifications
• •Performing basic fault-finding activities on failed sub-assemblies
• •Repairing and replacing faulty components where appropriate, or documenting failure reasons and escalating to the Quality team for further investigation
• •Using soldering and de-soldering equipment, electronic meters, and other specialist testing equipment safely and effectively
• •Working collaboratively with Manufacturing Team Members, Team Leaders, Engineers, and Quality personnel to resolve product and process issues
• •Demonstrating and explaining testing procedures to colleagues when required
• •Maintaining high standards of workmanship, quality, and housekeeping within the work area
• •Supporting Lean manufacturing initiatives, continuous improvement activities, and departmental objectives

• •Minimum O.N.C. qualification in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline

Desirable Skills & Knowledge

• •Experience using electronic test equipment within a manufacturing environment
• •Experience fault-finding electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies
• •Experience with soldering, de-soldering, and electronic measurement equipment

Full training will be provided for suitable candidates.

Additional Information

Shift Pattern:

Monday to Friday: 7:00 to 3:15pm

You may be required to work shifts, including day and noon shifts.
