Material Handler | Nox Metals | Detroit, MI

American factories deserve a supply chain that moves as fast as they do. The next generation of American manufacturing is being built right now. Nox Metals is the supply chain behind it.

Nox Metals is a technology company in Detroit supplying aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to aerospace and defense manufacturers. We use software and automation to supply metal to American factories faster than the industry thought possible.

We need a Material Handler on day shift who puts safety first, every shift, no exceptions. This is a role for someone who takes OSHA standards seriously, runs a forklift with precision, and wants to grow into bandsaw and metals operations over time.

Shift Hours : Monday - Thursday OR Friday - Sunday

You will:

Follow all OSHA and site safety protocols without exception, and hold your teammates to the same standard

Operate a forklift to receive, stage, and move aluminum plate, bar, and rounds throughout the facility

Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently

Receive inbound material and verify against purchase orders

Package, label, and stage outbound shipments

Keep the floor clean, organized, and free of hazards

Record material movements accurately in our software systems

Always ask questions, never guess when something is unclear

Complete required safety training and certifications as assigned

Learn baseline operations of the bandsaw and other metals equipment as you grow in the role

You are:

Safety-obsessed. You wear your PPE, follow every protocol, and never cut corners that put people or product at risk

Trained in OSHA standards, or ready and eager to complete training

Experienced operating a forklift, or a fast learner ready to get certified

High attention to detail, every load, every label, every shipment

Coachable and curious, you want to learn the bandsaw and broader floor operations

A team player with a good attitude, you make the shift better for everyone around you

Someone who takes ownership, if it is your shift, it is your responsibility

Reliable and steady under pressure, day shift sets the pace for the whole operation

Comfortable with software, or willing to learn, we track everything digitally

Organized and dependable

Low ego, you do the unglamorous work because it needs to get done

Able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate heavy equipment on your feet for a full shift

Never says "that's not my job"

Nice to have:

Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment

Forklift and/or overhead crane certification already in hand

Experience with bandsaws, industrial saws, or metals handling

Comfortable using AI tools to work faster and smarter
