Material/Production Planner

As our Material/Production Planner, you will plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor final approval of products through the complete production cycle. Your work will be driven by customer order priorities, production specifications, and operations plans, which you will use to establish production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements. You will coordinate production plans with Production Team to ensure materials are provided according to schedule. This position requires driving a company-owned vehicle; therefore, you must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, and you must possess and maintain a current, valid driver license in your state of residence.

Location: Portland, OR

Salary Range: $74 ,100 - 100,000 per year

Your Challenge:

• •Develop and maintain detailed schedules, production plans, and material requirements lists in accordance with the Master Production Schedule, for products, proposal efforts and production processes
• •Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Material Control, Quality, and other departments to achieve optimum utilization of facilities and resources to meet production schedules
• •Provide input to management regarding issues including scheduling problems, material shortages, design changes, and backlogs
• •Work with ERP systems, including SAP, to effectively manage materials and production scheduling supporting our production process
• •Work closely with Production Supervisors and the Materials team to resolve material and schedule issues
• •Other job duties as assigned

What you bring:

• •Bachelor’s degree preferred
• •4-6 years of experience with Planning, preferably in an electro-mechanical production environment
• •APICS training or certification is strongly preferred
• •Materials management experience
• •Strong oral and written communication skills
• •Proficiency with ERP Systems, preferably SAP
• •Proficient with MS Office tools
• •Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• •Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
• •Ability to multi-task and manage various project related duties
• •Must possess and maintain a current, valid driver license
