Material Science/Metallurgical Engineering Intern

As a Material Science/Metallurgical Engineer Intern at Cleveland-Cliffs, projects in which an intern will participate will vary, depending on education level and plant, but will model the duties below to the extent possible.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• •Daily review of production process data
• •Analyze disposition of non-conforming product
• •Participate on quality improvement teams
• •Conduct and analyze mill experiments
• •Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports
• •Analyze current operating performance and standard operating procedures and make recommendations for improvement
• •Various other projects as needed to support the business

Minimum Qualifications:

• •Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in the field of Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or other related technical degree
• •Completion of at least sophomore year of study by the summer of 2027
