About the Position: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. RRAD is near the corners of 4 states - Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. The depot's enormous maintenance mission includes the repair, rebuild, overhaul and conversion of tactical wheeled vehicles. Duties

• •Pass on to other workers instructions received from supervisor and starts work.
• •Check work in progress and when finished, checks for compliance with supervisor's instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines.
• •Urge or advise other employees to follow supervisor's instructions and to meet deadlines; demonstrate proper work methods.
• •Provide information to supervisor on status and progress of work, causes of delays, and overall work operations and problems.
• •Prepare materials for dispatching by using materials handling equipment to insure items are routed and dispatched without damage.
• •Operate electric, gas, and/or diesel powered forklift to move loads under 10,000 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Materials Expediter (Forklift Operator) Leader without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common duties which include maneuvering equipment for stock dispatch, securing inventory against production stoppages, and calculating weights for transport safety. I can demonstrate managing workflows for delay prevention. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Other Than Blueprint Reading) Ability to Lead or Supervise Dexterity and Safety Knowledge of Materials Technical Practices (Theoretical, Precise, Artistic) Work Practices (Including Keeping Things Neat, Clean, and in Order) Physical Effort: Incumbent is required to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally lifts items weighing up to 60 pounds. Material handling devices and assistance from other workers are available for handling heavier items. Incumbent is constantly kneeling, crouching, bending, stooping and walking. Working Conditions: Work is usually performed in production shops that are moderately lighted and ventilated. Incumbent is exposed to outside conditions for short periods of time. Incumbent is exposed to shop noises, dirt, fumes and vibrations, and the possibility of injury associated with handling equipment. Incumbent may be required occasionally to perform some duties in inclement weather.
