MDT Case Coordinator - Child Advocacy Center

Come Join the Washtenaw Child Advocacy Center as a part-time, approximately 22.50 hours per week, Case Coordinator! Catholic Charities Washtenaw seeks an experienced professional to help coordinate critical support for child victims and their non-offending caregivers.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Work to reduce trauma to child victims.

Facilitate access to appropriate services including law enforcement, children’s protective services, medical providers, and prosecutors.

Manage the complex forensic interview scheduling process of suspected sexually assaulted child victims.

Assists the Crisis Counselor with appropriate referrals for mental health treatment and/or other services and with crisis counseling of victim families.

Work Collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of community partners including law enforcement, child protective services, and the county prosecutor’s office.

Will perform case tracking, maintain statistical data, and serve as a back-up for the Crisis Counselor when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, criminal justice or a related field with 5 years’ experience in child abuse, crisis intervention, child development, and/or criminal justice system.

Master’s degree preferred.

Ability to relate to children and adults of all ages, race, and socio-economic backgrounds.

Proficiency in oral and written communication.

Strong organizational skills.
