Mechanical Engineer - Fleet Reliability and Operations (Hydroelectric industry)

• This role supports the reliability, operation, rehabilitation, and service of hydroelectric turbine and generator equipment across a diverse fleet.
• You’ll provide hands-on engineering support throughout project lifecycles, from site assessments and inspections through commissioning and warranty activities.
• The position combines field engineering, technical problem-solving, customer interaction, and collaboration with experienced engineering teams.
• You’ll help identify equipment issues, recommend corrective actions, and provide technical guidance during critical project and site activities.
• The role also contributes to service projects involving condition assessments, spare parts, refurbishment, and partial unit rehabilitation.
• With approximately 30% travel across the U.S. and occasional international collaboration, you’ll work closely with site teams, customers, and operations and maintenance stakeholders.
