PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Yulista is a fast-paced government contractor specializing in high-mix, low volume manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong welding inspection experience and the ability to work effectively with production, engineering, and quality personnel in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• •Perform visual inspections of welding and fabrication operations.
• •Verify welding procedures, welder qualifications, materials, and welding parameters as required.
• •Ensure welding activities comply with applicable AWS, ASME, customer, and project requirements.
• •Interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, specifications, and welding procedures.
• •Review welds for defects and determine compliance with applicable acceptance criteria.
• •Monitor welding activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures.
• •Identify nonconforming conditions and assist with corrective actions.
• •Maintain material and weld traceability.
• •Coordinate with NDE/NDT personnel when additional testing is required.
• •Communicate inspection findings with welders, supervisors, engineers, and management.
• •Support internal and customer quality audits.
• •Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• •Perform AS9102 First Article Inspections.
• •Good organization skills and utilize Microsoft Office software to accurately document and maintain associated paperwork and inspection results in a consistent and timely fashion
• •Other duties as directed by the assigned Supervision

• SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• This position has no supervisory responsibility.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• •Previous experience in welding inspection, fabrication, manufacturing, construction, or a related industry.
• •Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and inspection methods.
• •Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, specifications, and procedures.
• •Familiarity with applicable welding codes and industry standards.
• •Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• •Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with production and quality personnel.
• •Proficiency in AS9100/ISO9000 environments (NADCAP a plus).
• •Maintain Certifications as required to perform duties.
• •Analyze test data, making computations as necessary, to determine test results.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• •Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance
• •Ten (10) years Quality experience preferred, minimum of Eight (8) years working with standards, policies, and regulatory requirements (Government and/or Commercial).
• •This position requires a minimum of a High School diploma/GED
• •Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (1 or more):

• •NADCAP experience or familiarity with NADCAP requirements.
• •Previous experience supporting or participating in NADCAP audits.
• •NDT certifications such as VT, MT, PT, UT, or RT.
