Medical Technician/MLT

Performs analyses on blood and body fluids to aid health care providers in the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of patients. Moderate and high complexity testing may include manual or automated techniques using sophisticated instrumentation. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: instrument operation and maintenance, troubleshooting assays, evaluating test results for accuracy, resulting test values in a timely manner, and assisting with interpreting results.

Qualifications

Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT)

Will accept MLT/CLT students graduating within six months

Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent is required within six months of employment
