About Ossium

Ossium’s mission is to improve the health, vitality, and longevity of human beings through bioengineering. We develop, manufacture, and bank cell therapy products that apply the power of stem cell science to revolutionize treatment for patients with blood, immune, and orthopedic diseases. At Ossium, we empower our employees, maintain the highest standards of operational excellence, and are a force for good.

About the Job

We're hiring a Medical Science Liaison to be the bridge between our cutting-edge cryopreserved deceased donor bone marrow technology and the hematology/oncology and transplant medicine community. As the scientific voice of Ossium, you’ll build relationships with key opinion leaders, translate complex science into compelling clinical narratives, and help physicians and transplant care teams understand how our products transform patient outcomes.

This isn't a traditional pharma MSL role. You'll be working with breakthrough cell therapy technology at an early-stage company, which means real autonomy, meaningful scientific impact, and a direct line to clinical development decisions. This role will be instrumental in building scientific community awareness and supporting our clinical development efforts in the hematology/oncology and transplant medicine space.

We are looking for MSLs in the Western region of the United States.

Required Qualifications

Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, DNP, or MS) in life sciences, medicine, or a related field

7+ years of experience as an MSL in the U.S.

Domain experience in stem cell transplant, cell therapy, and/or gene therapy

Experience engaging academic medical centers or complex hospital systems

Experience and comfort presenting scientific data to healthcare professionals

Ability to operate independently in the field and manage a regional territory

Experience working with academic medical centers or complex hospital systems

Willingness to travel up to 70% (mostly regional, some national conferences)

Excellent written and oral communication skills

High organizational discipline; ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment

Candidates must be based in the Western region of the United States

Preferred Qualifications

Clinical experience and existing professional relationships in hematology/oncology or transplant medicine

KOL engagement and advisory board experience

Track record of successful medical conference presentations

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with hematology, oncology, and transplant medicine KOLs in your region

Educate physicians and transplant care teams throughout your region on Ossium’s science and clinical value proposition

Present clinical data at medical conferences and scientific meetings

Support clinical trial recruitment and investigator engagement

Respond to medical information requests from healthcare professionals

Support advisory boards and scientific advisory meetings

Collaborate with R&D, Clinical, Commercial, Marketing, and Regulatory on scientific communications

Monitor the competitive landscape, gather and synthesize market insights

Contribute to medical publications and conference abstracts

In your first six months, some projects you’ll work on include:

Identifying key transplant centers in your region, building and nurturing relationships with 15-20 KOLs

Attending scientific conferences and connecting with key transplant care providers

Creating and presenting scientific materials for Ossium’s bone marrow products

Expanding Ossium’s physician education program

We Offer a Full Slate of Employee Benefits Including:

Competitive salaries

Stock options

401(k) matching

Medical, dental, and vision coverage

Four weeks of PTO accrued annually (vacation & sick time) + 11 company holidays

Employer paid life insurance and long-term disability

Gym membership and recreational sports reimbursements
