Metrology Technician II- Onsite; Lenexa, KS

As a Metrology Technician I at ICON, you will be responsible for performing calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements that support clinical research initiatives.

What You Will Do:

You will contribute to clinical research activities, taking responsibility for your deliverables and working collaboratively.

Key responsibilities include:

• •Performing routine calibration, maintenance, and repairs of laboratory instruments and equipment according to established protocols and standards.
• •Responsible for regularly scheduled calibration and maintenance of all laboratory equipment in accordance with SOPs, documentation of the work in logs and notebooks, updating equipment lists, and reporting on these activities.
• •Documenting calibration activities and maintaining accurate records in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and regulatory requirements.
• •Assisting in troubleshooting equipment issues and implementing corrective actions as necessary to maintain optimal performance.
• •Collaborating with laboratory personnel to support equipment needs and ensure timely availability for research activities.
• •Staying updated on metrology practices and advancements to enhance measurement accuracy and efficiency.

Your Profile:

You will bring relevant clinical research experience, along with the following qualifications and skills.

Required qualifications and experience:

• •Associate's degree in a relevant field such as metrology, engineering technology, or a related area; bachelor's degree preferred.
• •Entry-level experience in calibration or metrology within a laboratory setting or relevant coursework.
• •Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• •Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• •A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in all metrology activities.
