Multi-site Dermatology Group Seeks Mohs MA/LPN.

Optima Dermatology is recruiting an experienced full time Mohs Medical Assistant / LPN to join our growing Dermatology group in Stratham. NH.

Location: 23 Portsmouth Ave, Stratham, NH 03885

Position Details:

We are seeking a hard-working, energetic, and optimistic teammate to join us as a Mohs MA/LPN! Join our amazing team that values each individual employee for their unique gifts and talents in a family-feel environment. We support each other in perfecting our skills and highly value cross-training.

Responsibilities:

The following is an overview of the essential job functions and responsibilities, this may not be an all-encompassing list:

Schedule appointments and Mohs procedure appointments, and conduct pre-op confirmation calls to scheduled patients

Review pathology and lab results with patients per provider’s instructions

Oversee the management of the CLIA binder to ensure all logs are completed on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis

Ensure Mohs lab is completely set up and supplies/equipment are properly store and organized

Ensure exam rooms are completely set up and supplies/equipment are properly store and organized

Train new clinical support staff

Serve as the Mohs phone nurse during open office hours, and ensure that all voicemails are checked and returned in a timely manner (after hours contact required)

Build, oversee, and edit schedule template, per surgeon’s requests or as needed

Order Mohs supplies as needed. This includes all surgical, cosmetic, sample, and lab supplies.

Qualifications:

Licensed medical assistant or further nursing degree preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with peers, physicians, and patients

Prior hands on laboratory experience preferred.

Prior dermatology experience is a plus, Mohs experience preferred

Prior EMR experience

Critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, ability to work with minimal supervision
