GE Vernovas Onshore Wind business is a world leader in onshore wind technology. With an installed base of approximately 55,000 turbines around the world, it offers a high-tech product portfolio of turbines for a broad range of site conditions.

Role is to Perform a variety of tasks to perform the moulding function of wind turbine manufacturing safely and efficiently.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

· Perform moulding tasks following work instructions

· Wear all personal protective equipment and follow all health and safety instructions regarding chemical usage

· Apply gel coat, lay glass and foam, smooth wrinkles and trim glass.

· Assemble root plate with bushings

· Lay profiles and place bag over shell

· Complete the infusion process – vacuum check, begin infusion, trouble shoot and take temperatures for remainder of process.

Required Qualifications

• •Ability to lift of carry objects or materials up to 40 lbs.
• •Ability to push/pull heavy objects.
• •Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors.
• •Ability to work with hands for an extended period.
• •Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
• •Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• •Requires wearing of respirator.

Desired Characteristics

• •High School Diploma/GED or related experience
• •Previous Manufacturing experience
• •Previous experience working with wind turbine blades or composites

Position Shift: Mon-Fri 2pm-10:30pm

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the base pay for this position is $22.88-$27.50.
