Work Shift: Full-Time: 40 hrs. per week; Days, Nights. Flexible Shift, On-calls and weekends may be required.

Work Location: University of Miami Hospital & Clinics - Radiology Imaging UTower

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

• •Operates MRI equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic and research purposes.
• •Sets up imaging area and selects appropriate coil based on information from exam triage form, attached referring physician order, and patient’s screening form.
• •Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specific areas of the body.
• •Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
• •Follows safety procedures by assessing the patient physically and reviewing applicable notes and forms in patient’s file.
• •Performs daily quality assurance measurements on MRI equipment.
• •Reports and documents any equipment issues to the appropriate senior staff.
• •Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to federal and state guidelines and regulations.
• •Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

Certification and Licensing:

Certification in relevant specialty or field

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

• •Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
