Nanny / Household Helper – Portola Valley, CA

A busy family in Portola Valley, CA 94028 is seeking a reliable, proactive, and adaptable Nanny/Household Helper to support their three girls (ages 9, 11, and 13) and keep the household running smoothly. Both parents work full-time, with one parent working from home, making an independent and flexible candidate essential for this role.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM – 6:30 PM (Core Hours)

Additional hours allocated before 2:00 PM or after 6:30 PM (family prefers after 6:30 PM)

30 guaranteed hours per week

Schedule flexibility required to accommodate school holidays, seasonal shifts, and after-school activity changes

Family Specifications:

Smoke-free home

Vehicle provided for all child transportation duties

Responsibilities:

Driving children safely to and from school and after-school activities

Meal preparation for the children and family

Family laundry

General light tidying, organization, and keeping household management tasks up to date

Providing proactive afternoon support and guidance for three school-aged children

Requirements:

Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and comfort navigating the local area

Comfort working in a home with pets (two French bulldogs)

Proven experience managing school-aged children and household logistics

Ability to work independently while a parent works remotely in the home

Compensation:

$30–$40 per hour (commensurate with experience)
