MEMX is searching for a Network Engineer to support the design, implementation and maintenance of its low latency trading infrastructure for second shift 4 PM - 1 AM ET weekdays Monday through Friday.
Shift time for this role will be: 4 PM - 1 AM ET
MEMX currently has a U.S. presence in these states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, & Utah.

What You’ll Do
Work to design, implement and support the low latency exchange network environment
Configure the enterprise and production network devices with Ansible and Python as required
Respond to network alerts and error logs
Respond to network incidents, remediate, and perform RCA
Perform new customer connection turn-ups
Work on customer tickets such as add/mod IP prefixes, troubleshoot connectivity
Perform new product analysis and validation
Coordinate with the Security and business teams to help engineer/implement secure end user solutions
Work with Data Center and Circuit providers to continually move the exchange infrastructure forward on more cost efficient and performant options
Requirements
5+ years of hands-on experience with low latency, highly available distributed systems and the network architectures needed to run them
Understanding of layer2 and layer3 network protocols e.g. IGMP, MLAG, ARP, BGP, NAT, PIM
Understanding of IP multicast routing e.g. PIM-SM, PIM-Bidir
Experience with network operating systems (EOS, IOS, PanOS)
Understanding of timing protocols NTP,PTP
Understanding of various optical fiber types and transceivers
Scripting experience (Python, Ansible) preferred
Ability to analyze packet captures using tools like Wirshark, tcpdump
Mac, Linux familiarity preferred
Experience with firewall design and configuration

Pay Range: $130,000 to $160,000
