Network Security Support Engineer

Please note: This is a night shift, remote working role (must be UK Based).

All About You

We’re looking for an experienced Network & Security Support Engineer to join our Network Support Team. This role requires at least 4–5 years’ experience supporting complex customer environments with technologies such as SD-WAN, Firewalls, Routing (OSPF/BGP), and ISP management.

You’ll be working nights to facilitate the delivery of out of hours planned work and to cover P1 and P2 incidents that occur.

Your part to play

Provide advanced support for network and security incidents & service requests

Lead implementation of change requests and project tasks

The role will include maintenance, software upgrades, hardware replacements. It will also involve resolving emergency P1/P2 incidents that may occur

Troubleshoot complex networking/security issues across customer environments

Manage ISP circuits and liaise with providers as needed

Maintain high-quality documentation and ensure knowledge sharing within the team

Required Expertise

4–5 years’ experience in a network & security support role

ITIL Service Principles

SD-WAN deployment & troubleshooting

Security technologies (firewall policies, IPS/IDS, web filtering, secure web gateways)

Advanced routing (OSPF, BGP, MPLS)

Switching (Layer 2/3)

ISP circuit management

DDI (DNS/DHCP/IPAM)

Monitoring tools (SNMP, API-based platforms)

ITSM platforms - ServiceNow

Technical Skills: VeloCloud, SilverPeak, Fortinet, Zscaler, Infoblox, Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5 (training will be provide for gaps in knowledge)
