NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING INSPECTION MANAGER

Summary

You will serve as a Non-Destructive Testing Inspection Manager in the PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF . The location for this position is Garden Island, Australia. ***See Additional Information section below for details***

Duties

• •You will be responsible for all matters involving non-nuclear NDT inspections, recommendations, and alternatives considering cost effectiveness, radiation levels, time limits, scheduling, program policies and procedural integrity.
• •You will plan assignments and workload on a 6-month or longer basis as well as coordinating and determining the allocation for the manpower and resources required to meet planned workload.
• •You will investigate NDT quality problems to ascertain their significance and recommend corrective/preventative actions.
• •You will advise all Shipyard NDT elements on achieving their quality assurance objectives in a cost-effective manner.
• •You will plan, coordinate and manage inspectors, trainers/technical support, chemist and test examiner personnel in the field of NDT work operations.
• •You will assist with the development and maintenance of an NDT quality assurance indoctrination and training program for NDT inspection personnel.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Possesses technical knowledge of inspection and test functions in Visual, Magnetic, Liquid Penetrant, Ultrasonic Inspection and other related Non Destructive Testing programs for intermediate level maintenance; Leading and managing an inspection branch; Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing and must be able to coordinate the efforts of the support personnel (i.e., operations, maintenance, engineering, inspection and others); Analyzing and evaluating inspection results and quality issues to provide recommendations and corrective actions to increase overall program effectiveness; Planning and forecasting budget and manpower needs in support of a NDT and inspection program.
