NOW HIRING Diesel Mechanic ASAP (Orlando FL)

Waste Connections, Inc. is looking for a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our high-performing team in Altamonte Springs, FL. If you have experience in the Waste or Recycling industry, that’s a huge plus—but not required. • 📍 Location: Altamonte Springs, FL (Orlando)
• 💰 Pay: $25–$35/hr. (Based on Experience + Overtime)
• 📅 Schedule: Monday – Friday, Every Other Saturday | 2PM to 2AM (55-60 Hours/Week)

🔧 The Job:

• •Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on Diesel Trucks and Heavy Equipment.
• •Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
• •Use onboard computer systems to identify and resolve vehicle issues.
• •Complete work orders and documentation using our fleet maintenance software.
• •Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform on-site service calls.
• •Ensure a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant work environment.

✅ Requirements:

• •2+ Years of hands-on Diesel Mechanic experience (Waste Industry preferred)
• •Strong knowledge of DPF Regeneration Systems (especially CUMMINS and MACK)
• •Welding/Fabrication skills are a big plus!
• •Must have your own tools.
• •Comfortable working 2nd shift (2PM – 2AM)
• •Basic computer skills for Diagnostics and Documentation
• •Commitment to safety practices and PPE usage
