Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care

SUMMARY

Provide medical care and perform selective medical services to patients in a variety of settings in collaboration with other health care professionals when required.

STATUS: Full-Time (36 hours/week)

LOCATION: Multiple Locations

DEPARTMENT: Urgent Care

SCHEDULE: Days/Evenings (Monday - Friday, Weekends)

PAY TRANSPARENCY

In addition to the base pay range, certain provider positions may be eligible for variable compensation in accordance with health system pay practices. This may include: productivity and/or value-based clinical incentives, bonus compensation, or other forms of variable pay.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• •Patient Satisfaction. Interacts on a frequent, regular and daily basis with patients, family members, medical/social/public services support, regulatory agencies and/or payor agencies. Interaction and communication requires expressed empathy, understanding, problem-solving, education, information gathering, process influencing and counseling.
• •Medication & Orders. Prescribes drugs, devices and immunizing agents according to policy and practice agreement.
• •Collaboration. Performs therapeutic and corrective measures within area of expertise in collaboration with other health team members.

EDUCATION:

MS: Advanced Practice Nursing (Required)

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

NP - Nurse Practitioner Certification - NYS Office of Professions, RN - Registered Nurse - NYS Office of Professions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
