Nursing Laboratory Assistant

The Department of Health Sciences, School of Life & Health Sciences invites applications for the position of Nursing Laboratory Assistant . The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality nursing education by assisting faculty members in clinical skills laboratories, preparing teaching materials and equipment, and coordinating students' clinical training placements with healthcare partners.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• •Prepare, organize, and maintain nursing laboratories and simulation facilities for teaching activities.
• •Assist nursing faculty during laboratory demonstrations, practical classes, and simulation exercises.
• •Set up, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory and simulation equipment.
• •Maintain inventories of laboratory supplies, consumables, and equipment.
• •Ensure laboratories comply with health, safety, and infection control standards.
• •Support students during skills training sessions under the direction of faculty members.

• •Coordinate and schedule students' clinical training placements in hospitals, clinics, and community healthcare settings.
• •Liaise with healthcare organizations and clinical partners regarding placement availability and student schedules.
• •Maintain accurate records of clinical placements, student attendance, and related documentation.

Qualifications & Skills:

• •Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• •Master degree in Nursing or Healthcare
• •Registered Nurse license or eligibility for registration (preferred).
• •2 years’ previous clinical nursing experience.
• •Experience in healthcare education, clinical skills training, simulation laboratories, or academic administration will be considered an advantage.
• •Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• •Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• •Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, and external healthcare partners.
• •Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic scheduling systems.
• •Full fluency in Greek & English languages
