Nursing Supervisor

• Location: West Salem Clinic | 1233 Edgewater St NW, Salem, OR
• Schedule: Full Time | Monday–Friday
• Status: Exempt
• Reports to: Director of Nursing & Infection Control Officer

Lead a Team – Strengthen Care – Make a Difference

As our Nursing Supervisor you will be responsible for the daily operations and oversight of nursing staff at our medical clinics. This leadership role supports high-quality, safe, and culturally responsive patient care while promoting teamwork, staff development, and efficient clinical workflows.

You will work closely with nursing staff, providers, and other departments to maintain smooth patient flow, support quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with organizational policies, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do

Nursing Leadership & Staff Development

Provide daily supervision, direction, and support to nursing staff.

Assign work based on staff competencies, patient acuity, and clinic needs.

Coordinate staffing schedules, vacation requests, and monthly staff meetings.

Participate in recruitment, interviews, onboarding, and employee performance evaluations.

Identify training needs and support staff education, professional development, and compliance with required training.

Patient Care & Clinical Operations

Oversee nursing staff's delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient care.

Promote efficient patient flow in collaboration with providers and ancillary staff.

Maintain clinical supplies, equipment, and facilities to support a safe patient environment.

Provide nursing backup, consultations, and clinical services as needed and within licensing requirements.

Perform waived testing, including glucometer, A1c, lipid, and INR testing, in accordance with established protocols.

Teamwork & Collaboration

Foster positive morale, communication, and cooperation across departments.

Support conflict resolution and effective communication among staff.

Participate in supervisory, provider, quality assurance, and all-staff meetings.

Collaborate with leadership and support departments to implement organizational changes and improve clinic operations.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications:

Graduate of a state-approved school of nursing.

Current Oregon RN or LPN license.

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers

Ability to exercise independent judgment and make appropriate decisions.

Strong interpersonal, communication, team-building, and conflict-resolution skills.
