Occupational Therapist – Equipment & Adaptations

Liquid Personnel is seeking a skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join its client’s Blackburn with Darwen team on a locum basis. This role focuses on delivering essential community-based assessments and interventions for individuals requiring equipment provision, as well as minor and major adaptations to support independence, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct community assessments in a local authority setting, identifying needs and recommending equipment solutions

Plan and facilitate minor and major adaptations to enhance safety and functionality within clients’ homes

Collaborate with clients, families, and professionals to create tailored support plans

Maintain accurate records in line with professional and legal standards

Complete manual handling assessments and ensure safe practices

Requirements

HCPC Registration and relevant Occupational Therapy qualifications

Experience within a local authority setting

Proficiency in manual handling assessments

Strong knowledge of equipment provision and home adaptations

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Enhanced DBS clearance
