The Marketing Technology Specialist is responsible for the execution, deployment, and optimization of digital marketing experiences across owned and paid digital channels. This role serves as a critical bridge between marketing strategy and technology execution, leveraging first-party data, audience platforms, personalization technologies, and digital marketing tools to deliver targeted customer experiences at scale.
The successful candidate will be highly analytical, technically proficient, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering high-quality customer experiences while operating in a fast-paced marketing technology environment.
The Onsite Marketing Enablement Associate is a knowledgeable marketing professional that leads/manages moderately to complex key project plans/planning, and/or campaigns within the digital, social, and content marketing space. This role is responsible for supporting internal and/or external consulting and advisory services for businesses or functions within own portfolio, as well as applying best practices to implement process, product or service improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Audience Management & Activation
- Build, manage, and optimize digital marketing audiences using first-party customer data.
- Create audience strategies and segments that support marketing acquisition, engagement, and retention objectives.
- Syndicate and activate audiences across external digital platforms, including Google, Meta, and other paid media channels.
- Partner with marketing, analytics, and data teams to ensure audience accuracy, performance, and compliance.
Personalization & Mobile Experience Delivery
- Build and deploy targeted marketing placements within digital channels, including mobile applications and digital experiences.
- Leverage Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Personalization, and other customer engagement platforms to deliver personalized customer experiences.
- Utilize platforms such as Amplitude and other targeting solutions to support audience selection, testing, and optimization.
- Support campaign experimentation, personalization strategies, and customer journey execution.
Campaign Implementation & Quality Assurance
- Partner closely with Marketing Planners and channel stakeholders to intake new marketing initiatives and placement requests.
- Gather, review, and validate all required campaign assets, requirements, and targeting criteria.
- Build digital marketing placements, banners, and campaign experiences according to specifications.
- Execute thorough end-to-end testing and quality assurance procedures prior to launch.
- Maintain the highest standards of accuracy, quality, and operational excellence.
Technical Development & Problem Solving
- Develop and modify JSON configurations and Python-based solutions to support campaign implementation and automation requirements.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and identify root causes across campaign delivery and audience activation processes.
- Collaborate with technology, product, and platform teams to resolve complex implementation challenges.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, automation, and operational efficiency.
Stakeholder Management & Leadership
- Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and potential issues that could impact campaign delivery.
- Escalate critical issues appropriately and provide leadership visibility when warranted.
- Demonstrate persistence and ownership in driving issue resolution through completion.
- Build strong working relationships across marketing, analytics, technology, compliance, and product organizations.
Depth & Scope:
- Expert level professional role requiring in-depth knowledge/expertise in own domain/field of specialty and a working knowledge of broader related areas
- Integrates the broader organizational context into advice and solutions within own area
- Understands the industry, competition and the factors that differentiate the organization
- Applies best practices to implement process, product or service improvements
- Acts as a subject matter expert within their own area of specialty or as a resource for others
- Leads projects of moderately to complex risk and resource requirements; may lead end-to-end processes or functional programs
- Contributes to setting standards within area of expertise
- Solves complex problems requiring analysis of multiple variables, including consultation with multiple stakeholders
- Uses advanced methods to contribute to new solutions and recommend standards against which others will operate
- Impacts a range of functional programs and operations across own and related teams
- Interprets guidelines, standards, policies and results of analysis to inform decision making at senior levels
- Builds stakeholder alignment in leading projects and activities; may provide process and subject matter advice at senior levels
- Works independently as the senior technical lead and guides others within area of expertise
- Identifies and leads problem resolution for complex issues at all levels
Education & Experience:
- Undergraduate degree and/or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Proficient knowledge of multiple marketing disciplines, strategy development, consulting principles, lines of businesses supported, banking industry, and product/customer markets
- Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends
- Knowledge of risk management environment, standards and regulations
- Ability to manage a budget and work within the constraints of that budget
- Ability to lead, plan, implement and evaluate program/project activities to ensure completion of initiatives
- Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships
- Skill in using computer applications including MS Office
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
- Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
