What this opportunity involves:

As the Operations Manager for our multi mixed-use portfolio, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of an exciting, high-profile asset mix featuring a retail shopping centre, an office tower, and a commercial parking station. In this dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will ensure these assets are meticulously managed and maintained to our perfecting standards while collaborating closely with our fantastic client. You will focus on strategic planning, the lifecycle of plant and equipment, project management, and the sustainability and economic performance of all assets. An overview of the role:

• •Delivering onsite operations management procedures, processes, and performance measures, and coordinating all aspects of building management and essential services.
• •Ensuring a safe working environment and confirming compliance with statutory regulations on fire, health, and safety standards, including WH&S legislation and the Building Code of Australia.
• •Maintaining the property risk management program and audits across all assets to identify and mitigate potential operational risks.
• •Managing and optimizing the centre's operations budgets to meet or exceed targets, focusing on cutting operational costs and incurring savings.
• •Confirming that vendor procurement processes comply with agreed client procurement guidelines as well as JLL best practices.
• •Ensuring all staff and contractors are inducted and receive up-to-date, site-specific training.
• •Executing the client’s capital works program requirements to meet the agreed KPIs.
• •Implementing and completing the client’s Sustainability requirements across the portfolio.
• •Working collaboratively with the onsite Facilities Manager and broader Property Management team, reflecting our belief that the most effective teams are built when everyone is empowered to thrive.

• •Proven experience in shopping centre operations or facilities management, preferably with a diverse mixed-use portfolio.
• •Strong budgeting, financial reporting, and cost-control skills, with a proactive approach to operational savings.
• •A positive and tenacious daily approach, with a dedication to client service as a top priority.
• •Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to respond promptly, listen actively, and show empathy to customer needs.
• •The ability to work both collaboratively within a supportive team and autonomously when managing assets.
• •Deep understanding of compliance, statutory regulations, and OH&S risk identification.
• •Experience managing capital works programs and plant and equipment lifecycle planning.
• •A commitment to sustainability and experience implementing environmental requirements.
