The Opportunity:

• •CACI is seeking an Optical Engineer to support our customer at NSWC Crane.
• •Provide optical engineering support in the evaluation of prototype EO/IR hardware, including Color Day Camera (CDC), Midwave InfraRed (MWIR), Laser Range Finder (LRF), Short Wave InfraRed (SWIR), Low Wave InfraRed (LWIR), and other sensor technologies. Support initial capability evaluations including benchtop testing, laser evaluation, data collection and analysis. Generate test reports.
• •Support environmental qualification testing activities of prototype EO/IR hardware, including documentation of test plan requirements and test configurations. Assist in environmental qualification testing activities for system level and LRU level tests, including for CDC, MWIR, LRF, SWIR, LWIR and other sensor technologies.

Qualifications:

Required:

• •U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
• •Bachelor’s Degree in optics, physics, electrical engineering or a related field.
• •Experience working with Electro-Optic (EO), Infrared (IR), and Laser Technology programs.
• •Experience with business planning and project development.
• •Knowledge of government operating procedures and requirements.
• •Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• •Ability to work and communicate at multiple levels from senior leadership to installation teams.

Desired:

• •An active DoD Secret clearance.
• •Experience working in DoD community.
• •If required, must be able to obtain & retain a government security clearance at the level required to perform the duties of the position

Pay Range :

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$47,900 - $95,600
