We are looking for a Dental Assistant to work with our exceptional Oral Surgeon! EFDA experience is a plus!

*MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE YEAR ORAL SURGERY EXPERIENCE*

Key Responsibilities

• •Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
• •Prepares patient for dental treatment.
• •Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area.
• •Provides diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies, pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts.
• •Fabricates restorations; cleans and polishes removable appliances.
• •Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification.
• •Educates patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
• •Documents dental care services by charting in patient records
• •Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• •Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• •Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
• •Ensures operation of dental equipment
• •Maintains dental supplies inventory.

Requirements

Education and Training

• •High School Diploma or equivalent.
• •Minimum one-year related experience and/or training or the equivalent of a combination of education and experience in the dental profession.
• •Valid X-ray certificate.
• •Current license if CDA, RDA, or EFDA (per state requirements).
• •CPR & first aid certificate.

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
