A family in New York, NY 10037 seeking a warm, reliable, and experienced part-time nanny to care for their 2 year old son. The candidate should genuinely enjoy engaging with toddlers, fostering their developmental growth, maintaining consistent routines, and treating their child with gentle affection while prioritizing safety.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday: 1:00 PM – 5:30 PM

Family Specifications:

Smoke-free home

No pets in the household

Values an active, engaging caregiver who keeps personal phone use away during care hours, except for emergencies or sharing updates/photos with parent

Emphasizes open, consistent communication and a collaborative approach to the toddler's daily routine

Responsibilities:

Provide attentive, safe, and nurturing care for a toddler transitioning into preschool routines

Handle daily afternoon pickup from preschool at 1:00 PM

Plan and facilitate engaging, age-appropriate activities, including outdoor time, visits to local parks/playgrounds, crafts, reading, and interactive learning

Prepare and serve simple meals and snacks for the child

Perform child-related household tasks, including cleaning up after meals and activities, and handling the child’s laundry

Support a calm wind-down routine at the end of the afternoon

Provide daily verbal handoff updates to parent along with occasional photo/video updates during the day

Requirements:

Proven experience caring for toddlers and managing early childhood routines

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain certification promptly upon hire)

Mindful and intentional approach to active caregiving with limited personal device use

Strong communication, reliability, and punctuality

Preferred:

Background in early childhood development or experience helping toddlers adjust to preschool transitions

Compensation:

$20.00 – $25.00 per hour
