Responsibilities

• •Sell parts over the counter to counter retail customers and technicians
• •Handle telephone parts orders called in by retail accounts
• •Promote additional parts sales by suggesting related items, seasonal lines, and/or parts specialists
• •Conduct regular telephone solicitation on assigned accounts
• •Clean, revise, and update parts displays as directed
• •Inform customers when parts specially ordered for them are received
• •Determine correct parts numbers and “pick” parts for orders received
• •Arrange for delivery or shipment of parts as required
• •Prepare and cost out parts invoices
• •Help maintain parts stock in orderly condition
• •Assist with regular parts inventories and the selection of parts for return under parts obsolescence protection program
• •Assist in physical re-arrangement of layout
• •Attend group training sessions as required

Requirements

• •High school diploma or the equivalent
• •Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
• •Tech savvy and comfortable with computers
• •One year of experience in an automotive parts department preferred
• •One year of sales experience ideal
• •Ability to work well with team members and the public, sometimes with several customers at a time
• •Must have a current and valid driver's license
