What you would be handling?

Daily Tasks

• •Review and execute outgoing payments across multiple payment methods
• •Ensure proper payment authorization and compliance with internal controls
• •Perform duplicate payment monitoring and resolve exceptions
• •Monitor bank transactions and payment statuses
• •Collaborate with banks, Treasury, AR, and Finance teams on payment topics
• •Execute and document daily payment controls

Weekly Responsibilities

• •Review payment performance, rejections, and exceptions
• •Support weekly payment-related reporting
• •Perform bank reconciliations as required
• •Ensure regulatory and currency compliance in payment processing
• •Participate in team meetings and process alignment sessions
• •Maintain payment and approval documentation

A Month in the Life

Month-end is a critical period for the Payments & Approval Accountant. During this time, all payment and settlement activities must be accurately reflected in the financial accounts. The accountant prepares bank reconciliations, and ensures all controls are executed and documented on time.

Monthly Responsibilities

• •Support month-end closing activities
• •Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations
• •Ensure timely and accurate execution of internal controls
• •Prepare payment-related reports and analysis
• •Support internal and external audits
• •Review payment compliance and control effectiveness

Additional Tasks Assigned by the Leader

In addition to standard responsibilities, the Payments & Approval Accountant may lead or support improvement initiatives, participate in payment process enhancements, and take part in cross-functional projects. The role may also involve supporting new payment methods, regulatory changes, or acting as a backup for senior team members when required.
