About the Role

As Payroll Team Leader, you will lead payroll operations across Mexico and Central America, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery. You will play a key role in creating a seamless employee experience, leading a team of payroll professionals, and partnering with stakeholders across local, regional, and global functions. In this role, you will help drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, collaboration, and a strong commitment to service quality.

What You Will Do

• •Payroll Operations: Lead and coordinate payroll delivery across Mexico and Central America, ensuring accurate and timely processing for all payroll cycles.
• •Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with local labor, tax, social security, and payroll regulations while maintaining strong controls and audit readiness.
• •Team Leadership: Coach, develop, and support Payroll Specialists and Administrators to build a high-performing, customer-focused team.
• •Issue Resolution: Act as the escalation point for complex payroll matters and provide guidance on payroll-related policies, processes, and compliance requirements.
• •Continuous Improvement: Drive process standardization, automation, digitalization, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and service quality.
• •Stakeholder Partnership: Build effective relationships with HR, Compensation & Benefits, Finance, IT, external vendors, and business leaders across the region.
• •Reporting & Performance: Monitor payroll reporting, operational metrics, resource planning, and service performance to support business continuity and operational excellence.

Who You Are

• •Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• •Solid experience leading payroll operations within multinational and multi-country environments, preferably across Mexico and Central America and/or Shared Services organizations.
• •Strong knowledge of payroll processing, payroll controls, tax regulations, social security requirements, labor compliance, payroll systems, and advanced Excel capabilities.
• •Proven ability to lead people, influence stakeholders, solve complex problems, manage competing priorities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in fast-paced environments.
• •Fluent in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate confidently with regional and global stakeholders.
