• Position Summary
• •Responsible for assisting with professional nursing care for SIH patients.

• Education
• •N/A

• Licenses and Certification
• •Completion of Illinois approved CNA training program and passed a written competency test or has successfully completed a nursing arts course (E.g., Basis in Nursing, Fundamentals in Nursing, Nursing 101, etc)
• •BLS

• Experience and Skills
• •Technical Experience: NA

• Role Specific Responsibilities
• •Assists nursing staff with patient care activities such as but not limited to obtaining patients vital signs, intake and output, bathing, feeding, toileting etc.
• •Assists in medical emergencies, including CPR
• •Complete, accurate and timely documentation in patient medical record
• •Timely communication of changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse and/or Licensed Practical Nurse
• •Timely completion of delegated tasks from Registered Nurse
• •Serve as an advocate for the patient by communicating and collaborating with other health service personnel
• •Timely completion of required education and competencies
• •Cross train to telemetry tech if applicable to department needs
