Job Overview

Pulse is currently seeking a passionate and skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist neurological rehabilitation centre in Leeds. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries and complex neurological conditions.

The centre provides an initial 12-week rehabilitation programme, which may be extended based on individual needs. The service is built on a neuro-behavioural approach, with a strong focus on enabling people to regain independence and rebuild their lives.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver specialist speech and language therapy to adults with acquired brain injuries and neurological conditions.

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including neuropsychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation support workers.

Contribute to personalised rehabilitation programmes that include clinical, educational, and therapeutic sessions.

Support the development of personal, social, and domestic skills, guided leisure activities, and vocational training.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service development.

Promote access to the local community and support behavioural management strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

Hold a recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy.

Be HCPC registered and a full member of RCSLT.

Have experience working with adults in neurorehabilitation settings.

Demonstrate excellent clinical reasoning and communication skills.

Be proactive, organised, and committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
