PIPEFITTER LEADER

Summary

You will serve as a Pipefitter Leader in the Production Resources Department of PSNS and IMF.

Duties

• •You will conduct on the job training for nuclear and non-nuclear work.
• •You will instruct pipefitter mechanics, workers, helpers and ship's force personnel in the skills of the trade.
• •You will utilize knowledge of the latest work processes and procedures to assure that needed work permits, system tag outs, work instructions, drawings, material and special tooling are on the job site when needed.
• •You will pass on instructions received from supervisors and get work started.
• •You will work with other workers and set the pace.
• •You will maintain a current knowledge and answer questions of other workers on procedures, policies, written instructions and other directives.

Qualifications

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
