About the Role

We are looking for a skilled PL/SQL Developer with strong scripting and ETL experience to join our team working on data automation across core banking, data warehousing, and regulatory reporting systems. You'll be working at the intersection of banking data infrastructure and compliance, building pipelines that move and transform data from source banking systems into regulatory-ready formats.

Key Responsibilities

• •Design, develop, and optimize complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers for data processing and transformation.
• •Build and maintain ETL workflows to extract data from core banking systems and load into data warehouses / staging / reporting layers.
• •Work with large volumes of banking transactional data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and performance.
• •Perform SQL query tuning and optimize PL/SQL code for performance in high-volume banking environments.
• •Collaborate with business analysts and functional teams to understand banking data requirements (e.g., core banking, regulatory/statutory reporting, risk, compliance).
• •Develop and maintain data validation, reconciliation, and error-handling routines within ETL pipelines.
• •Support data migration activities between core banking systems and downstream applications/data marts.
• •Write and maintain technical documentation for database objects, ETL jobs, and data flows.
• •Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes with minimal downtime.
• •Work with version control tools and adhere to coding standards/best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• •2–4 years of hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL development (procedures, functions, packages, cursors, triggers, exception handling).
• •Practical experience with ETL tools/concepts (e.g., Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Informatica, SSIS, Talend, or custom PL/SQL-based ETL).
• •Prior experience working in the Banking/Financial Services domain — exposure to core banking systems (e.g., Finastra, Flexcube, Finacle, TCS BaNCS, or similar) is a strong plus.
• •Strong understanding of relational database concepts, data modeling, and normalization.
• •Experience with SQL performance tuning (explain plans, indexing strategies, partitioning).
• •Familiarity with UNIX/Linux shell scripting for job scheduling and automation.
• •Understanding of data warehousing concepts (staging, ODS, dimensional modeling) is a plus.
• •Good analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• •Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional/business teams.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
