To ensure business continuity within the Demand Management unit of Siemens Energy's Compression Global Operations in Naroda, India, this Planning Engineer role is critical for aligning manufacturing capacity with customer demand. The position supports the execution of complex compression system projects by managing production schedules and material requirements. To address these business aims, this role focuses on production scheduling, material demand planning, and cross-functional coordination. These core areas ensure optimal utilization of manufacturing resources and timely delivery of compression packages. Given the focus on demand management and production planning, the ideal candidate will have strong experience in ERP systems (SAP), material requirements planning (MRP), and manufacturing workflows. A background in mechanical engineering or production planning within a heavy engineering or rotating equipment industry is essential.

How You’ll Make An Impact.

• •Develop, maintain, and optimize master production schedules (MPS) for compression systems and components.
• •Analyze manufacturing capacity constraints and coordinate with workshop managers to resolve bottlenecks.
• •Monitor progress of production orders against the baseline schedule and implement corrective actions for delays.
• •Execute Material Requirements Planning (MRP) runs to ensure timely availability of parts and raw materials.
• •Collaborate with procurement and logistics to track critical components and prevent material shortages.
• •Optimize inventory levels to balance manufacturing requirements with working capital targets.
• •Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering, and Quality departments to align project milestones with manufacturing schedules.
• •Prepare and present regular production progress reports, KPIs, and capacity utilization forecasts to management.
• •Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Kaizen) to streamline planning processes and reduce lead times.

What You Bring

• •Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering
• •5 to 8 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or demand management within heavy manufacturing, rotating equipment, or oil & gas sectors.
• •The ideal candidate will have strong experience in ERP systems (SAP), material requirements planning (MRP), and manufacturing workflows.
• •Master Production Scheduling (MPS). Capacity Planning & Leveling.
• •Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
• •SAP PP/MM Modules.
• •Data Analysis & Reporting (Excel, PowerBI). Understanding of Manufacturing Workflows (Rotating Equipment/Compression Systems).
• •Cross-Functional Collaboration. Problem-Solving & Bottleneck Analysis
