Planning Engineer (Hydraulic)

Job Purpose

Responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and closing hydraulic jobs through Infor LN , ensuring timely execution, material availability, cost control, quality compliance, and achievement of monthly billing targets. The role coordinates closely with Workshop, Site Services, Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics, Sales, Accounts, Seals, and SMS teams.

Key Responsibilities

• •Manage the complete job lifecycle in Infor LN , including job opening, code creation through ZOHO, cost tracking, manpower allocation, billing coordination, COPQ monitoring, and job closing.
• •Plan and coordinate hydraulic jobs involving Hydraulic Cylinders, HPUs, Accumulators, Valves, Manifold Blocks, Tubing/Piping, Filters, and Flushing Units .
• •Monitor workshop activities including cylinder dismantling, inspection, honing, chrome plating, seal replacement, assembly, pressure testing, HPU assembly, manifold integration, and tubing works.
• •Coordinate flushing, testing, contamination control, N₂ charging, inspection, certification, installation, commissioning, and site service activities.
• •Prepare job execution plans and continuously monitor schedules to ensure jobs are completed and delivered on time.
• •Track estimated vs. actual job costs , manpower hours, miscellaneous expenses, and COPQ, and highlight potential cost overruns.
• •Coordinate with Sales and Accounts to achieve monthly billing targets, ensure timely invoicing, and confirm customer advance payments where applicable.
• •Raise and follow up Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders for hydraulic components, consumables, subcontracting, assets, and outsourced manpower.
• •Plan material requirements including seals, O-rings, wear rings, tubing, fittings, hoses, filters, valves, pumps, motors, accumulator bladders, and related hydraulic components.
• •Coordinate subcontracting activities such as honing, chrome plating, machining, chemical cleaning, heat treatment, NDT/NDE, and specialized testing .
• •Liaise with Seals, SMS, Warehouse, Logistics, Procurement, Workshop, and Site Services teams to ensure smooth execution of hydraulic jobs.
• •Maintain accurate job records, technical documentation, cost details, testing records, and COPQ information for audit and future reference.

Qualifications & Experience

• •Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline .
• •3–5 years of experience in hydraulic manufacturing, servicing, workshop planning, or project/job coordination.
• •Working knowledge of hydraulic cylinders, HPUs, accumulators, valves, manifolds, tubing, filtration, flushing, and pressure testing.
• •Basic knowledge of Infor LN ERP ; knowledge of ZOHO applications is an advantage.
• •Understanding of hydraulic schematics, ISO cleanliness standards, contamination control, and N₂ pre-charging.
• •Strong planning, coordination, communication, cost-control, and analytical skills.

Salary Range

AED 5000 to AED 7000 (All inclusive)
