What you’ll be doing;

• •Assisting the shift team leader with the operation and monitoring of plant from the central control room using the distributed control system (DCS), including the operations of refuse cranes.
• •Ensuring day to day compliance with all aspects of the Environmental Permit, reporting any non-compliance or incidents to the Shift Team Leader
• •Carrying out routine plant inspections, adjustments and operations as required, collecting and recording plant data
• •Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Energy Recovery Facility at all times
• •Monitoring stocks and taking receipts of consumables and collections
• •Working as part of the Operations team, assisting the Shift Team Leader and supporting other team members as required
• •Assisting other company staff and contractors as required
• •Undertaking personal development to enhance knowledge and skills relevant to the role

What we're looking for;

• •Engineering experience working in a continuous process environment, preferably on steam generating equipment
• •An interest in mechanical and electrical plant with some hands-on experience of plant operations is essential
• •Experience gained through shift working, with the ability to work a continuous rotating shift pattern including overtime when required
• •A good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues
• •Waste Incineration experience is desirable but not essential .
